Before we start talking about theme installation we should know some fact about wp themes. There in Meipaly package two theme is available. Parent and Child. So we should know about parent and child theme first. 

A WordPress child theme takes the functionality of another theme, named parent theme. It gives you the possibility to customize an existing theme. Instead of modifying the theme files directly, you can activate the child theme and work within it. All customizations are stored in the child theme and anything in the child takes priority over the parent. So if the same file exist in both child and parent, the file from the child will control that aspect of the theme. Working with child themes, your customizations are safeguarded from future upgrades because you only upgrade the parent theme, which you never edit, while the customizations are protected in your child theme which you don’t upgrade.

Why use Child Theme?

Safe Updates. You can easily modify your website using child themes without ever changing the parent theme. When a new version of the parent theme appears, you can safely update it as all your modifications are saved in the child theme. Easy to Extend. A child theme has a great flexibility. It does not require writing a lot of code. You can modify only those template files and functions that you need.

Here is 2 ways to install Meipaly theme in your wordpress. Details are noted bellow:

FTP Upload:

1. Unzip you downloaded package.
2. Open up your FTP manager and connect to your hosting
3. Browse to wp-content/themes
4. Upload the Meipaly & Meipaly child in theme folder
5. Log Into WordPress and go to Appearance > Themes
6. Find the Meipaly or Meipaly child Theme and click activate btn.

WordPress Upload:

1. Log into your WordPress backend
2. Navigate to Appearance > Themes
3. Click Install Themes
4. Click Upload
5. Now you just need to find the "meipaly.zip & meipaly-child.zip" in the Upload folder and hit Install now.
6. After complete installation click on active button to active The theme.

Here is an Meipaly theme installation video. Hope this one will help you. I am going to follw "FTP Upload" method. I already uploaded theme in my wp-content/themes/ folder. Uploaded both parent and child theme. Let me show you:

In Meipaly we used 7 Plugin. 6 plugins are required and must be installed before import dummy content. 

1. Elementor -> Used for Visual Page Builder.  Required.
2. Kirki -> Used for Customize options and Theme customizations.  Required.
3. Meipaly Assistance -> Used for all custome post type and Meipaly Features.  Required.
4. Revolution Slider -> Used for all Hero slider.  Required.
5. Unyson -> Used for Dummy Installation and Content Backup.  Required.
6. Contact Form 7 -> Used for contact form.  Required.
7. Mailchimp For WP -> Used for Mailchimp Subscription. Optional.

Lets talk about installation process. Once you installed & Active the Meipaly theme you will see an notification in you WP dashboard. Like this:

Click on Begin Installing Plugins link that red marke in prev screenshot. You will get this window:

Select all plugin by checked all check boxes. Select 'Install' from bulk action dropdown. Then click on Apply buton and wait. Once all plugin get installed please Active all of them and Install Unyson Extension for Dummy upload. Here is a small Screencast.

Meipaly is an awesome Mulit page and One Page Digital Agency WordPress Theme. And it has an awesome dummy data installation process. You can install dummy data via 2 process. All of them are describe bellow:

Oneclick Dummy Installation : 

Please browse Tools -> Demo Content Install. You will get a new window with two dummy version thumbnail.  Now  you need to choose your version and click on "Install" button and wait till auto refresh. Please during dummy installation do not click any place or do not refresh the page. This awesome installare will set everything and redirect you to site home page.

Wordpress Importer : 

Meipaly is an One Page & Multipage Agency Responsive WordPress Theme. You can install i manually. Now please follow the process.

You can install sample data with Wordpress Builtin function. To install please Navigate Tools -> Import. You will get a POPUP from popup click on Wordpress link in bottom left. Its ask you for install a importer plugin and activation.  After activate the plugin browse the .xml file and click on Upload File and Import button. Once you upload the .xml file you get a window like this.

Select your existing user and checked "Download and import file attachments" checkbox and click submit. This will take some time. Now wait and watch. Once import complete you will get a window like this.

Its done. But we need to configure some thing in our backend. Lets browse Pages -> All Pages.

If you import Mulitpage then you will get This kind of list. Home & Home is Multipage version 1 & Mulitpage Version 2 accordingly. Which one you want to active as you home page? Choose and click for Edit. We need to make sure that the page has selected "Home" page template. 

Now please navigate Settings -> Reading from you admin dashboard menu. Once the settings page loaded Please checked "A Static Page" checkbox and select "Home or Home 2" for Homepage and "Blog" for  Posts Page. 

That's it. Now we need to import Rev Sliders manually. Please navigate Slider Revolution menu from you admin dashboard. You will get an window with "Import Slider" Box. Click on that box and import  all  .zip slider data one by one.

Now we need to install widget datas. Please navigate Plugins -> Add New and search for "Widget Importer & Exporter" plugin. Install that plugin and activate it. 

Now browse Tools -> Widget Importer & Exporter menu. Upload .wie file. Now click on "Import Widgets" button.

In Meipaly 3 Different home version available with different features. And we give you only two dummy for import. Verion 1 & Version 2 both are multipage. So we bind them in one file. Version 3 is one pag so we bind it in another file. 

First we are going to talk about Dummy 1 -> Meipaly Multipage Dummy Version 

Once you complete the import process you will get Version 1 activate by default. If you want to use it then you do not need to do any thing. If you want to use Version 2 then you have do some modifications. Lets check. 

In this dummy version you will get 2 Home Pages. "Home" for Version 1 & "Home 2" for version 2. So we are going to active Home 2. Edit this page and make sure that page has selected "Home" Page templates. Now you need to navigate Settings -> Reading to active "Home 2" as Home page.

Follow the screen shot. Hope you make it done. Now we need to choose menu for Home Version 2. Basically Version 1 & Version 2 Menu items are same.We just need to make sure that we active right menu. Navigate Apperance -> Menus.

As per scrren show we need to active "Main Menu 01" from the dropdown. 

Now we are going to talk about our One Page version. I think you don't need to any thin to do by default after import dummy data via our One click dummy installation. Just install and Enjoy. If you need an kind of assistance please mail us at expjoomworker@gmail.com. We will get you shortly.

Its bit complicated process. We tried to make it easier. First you need to understand how it's work. Our one page system work based on "Menu", "Front Page Template" & Section ( Pages ).

First we need to create a page with any name. We created one with the name "Front Page". Make sure you selecte "Front Page" page template from Template dropdown. Once you select "Front Page" template and save the page you will see that there was no Editor for this page. Don't worry about it.

Second : we need to create a secion for our home page. As you know, in one page when you click on menu item pages are not loded. Its scroll down to that perticular secion. So we are going to create our first section called "Home". And we are going to show Rev slider on that Home Section. By the way

Pages -> Add New . Insert Page title "Home". Dont need to select any Page Attributes ( Parent, Templates, Order etc) and Dont need to upload any Featured Image. Scroll down to bottom and find "Block Settings" tab. 

This is our key settings for one page secion.

"Is Secion?" If you want to this Page make a secion of your "Front Page" then turn it to "Yes". For your Home page please turn it to Yes. 

"Disable From Menu?". If you want to Disable this Page name from Menu then turn it to "Yes". For your Home Page please turn it to No.

Now Navigate Apperance -> Menu. Create a menu and set it as Primary menu and add this home page to your menu. Save the menu. Refresh the site. follow the preocess for other sections.

Now we are going to learn how our visual page builder works. We are going to build a sample page with Elementor. We have follow some process.

1. Create a page with Page Title.
2. Select Page Template.
3. Setup "Block Settings" & "Page Setting"
4. Insert Content.

Meipaly has an Awesome, Effective & Strong option panel. We used cusomizer as option panel.

Please Navigate Appearance -> Customize -> Site Identity. Here you will be able to edit Site Title, Site Description & Favicon Icon.

Please Navigate Appearance -> Customize -> Theme Options. All others settings are available here.

1. General Settings -> Config your Site Preloader & Google Map API key.
2. Typography Settings -> Setup you Site Default Font.
3. Color Preset Setting -> Setup you site Accent Color.
4. Header Settings -> Setup your site header Style & Content.
5. Header Styling -> Style up your site header.
6. Popup Menu Styling -> Style up your site Popup.
7. Blog Settings -> Config your Blog Page Style, Banner & Others.
8. Single Blog Settings -> Config your Single Blog Page Style, Banner & Others.
9. Service Listing -> Setup your Service Listing Page Style, Banner & Others.
10. Single Service -> Config your Single Service Page Style, Banner & Others.
11. Folio Settings -> Config your Portfolio Listing Page Style, Banner & Others.
12. Single Folio Settings -> Config your Single Portfolio Page Style, Banner & Others.
